Batman: Arkham City is a Rocksteady Studios’ action-adventure video game and is an upshot to the multi-award winning 2009 Batman:Arkham Asylum. This was based on the iconic superhero Batman of DC Comics. This game features a main storyline and side-missions of Batman in Akrham City, a home for Gotham City’s gangsters and criminals. Batman must stop the disaster caused by his famous rival, The Joker. There are iconic locations and Gotham City landmarks in the game. Batman: Arkham City was acclaimed to be one of the highest rated video games in 2011.
The gameplay of this game is also the same to its predecessor. Its default movement is walk, holding down and pressing the button will make him to run and roll. His grappling hook ability will allow him to glide. While gliding, he can drop bomb to destroy enemies. There is not just brand new story, but also a new all start cast of characters and criminals from the Batman universe that will surely bring the best experience as the Dark Knight.
Sefton Hill of Rocksteady Studios removed all myths of multiplayer experience in Batman: Arkham City game. "There have been a number of rumors circulating about a multiplayer mode in Batman: Arkham City so let me start by saying, once and for all, that Batman: Arkham City is a 'single-player only' experience," Hill said.
The following are the system requirements for Batman: Arkham City : Core 2 Duo E8300 2.83GHz for Intel CPU or Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition for AMD CPU; GFX card (Nvidia) must be GeForce GT 545 DDR3 and for ATI GFX Card – Radeon HD 5670 512 MB; 4 GB RAM (memory), 10 GB Hard disk space and 9 Direct X.
According to Sarah Wellock of Rocksteady Studio, it would take you 25 hours to finish the game as Dark Knight, excluding side missions. For the entire game to be finish, it is expected to last for over 40 hours excluding Challenge Maps. Compared to Arkham Asylum, it would take players 12-15 hours to finish the game 100 percent.
Ryan Clements described the universal experience of this game as delicious. The open world element set and the transition from polish to buttery smooth gameplay will deliver the players to a crazy but fun experience. Expect for the improvements in challenge maps and fighting skills. There were amazing parts in the game like defeating a serial killer. The punching act with Two-Face and Catwoman mission was not really a character justice. The added villains throughout the game will give interest to the players but very few of them are fleshed out.
